FAQ

The questions people ask before their first session, answered properly.

Registration & Account

How do I sign up for Swim Monkeys?

Go to the website, open an account in a few clicks, and that’s it. Once you have an account, all that’s left is to top up credits and choose your first session.

Can youth and adults register under the same account?

Yes. You can open a separate account for each family member, or manage several swimmers under one account – whichever works best for you.

What happens after I register?

Right after opening your account, you get full access to your personal area: topping up credits, viewing available session slots, and booking times – all whenever it suits you.

Credits & Payment

What are credits and how do they work?

Credits are the “currency” of Swim Monkeys. You top up credits to your account and use them for individual or group sessions – as you wish. The flexibility is all yours.

Can I use the same credits for both individual and group sessions?

Yes. Credits are flexible and work for both session types. You choose each time.

Do credits expire?

Yes, credits have an expiry date. You’ll find the exact details in your personal area at the time of purchase.

Which payment methods are accepted?

All standard payment methods on the website – credit card and secure online payment.

Can I get a refund?

Credits that were purchased and not used can be reviewed for a refund in accordance with our terms of service. Contact us and we’ll be happy to look into your case.

Booking & Changes

How do I book a session?

Go to the calendar on the website, choose an available slot, reserve it – and receive instant confirmation. All online.

How far in advance can I cancel or change a session?

You can change or cancel a booking up to 24 hours before the session through your personal area. Changes made closer to the session time will be reviewed individually.

What happens if I miss a session?

A session that wasn’t cancelled in time will be deducted from your credits. We recommend cancelling in advance – this frees up the spot for another swimmer and keeps your credits safe.

Can I book a session on the same day?

Absolutely. If there’s an available slot in the calendar – it’s yours. It all depends on availability.

What happens if the coach cancels a session?

We notify you as early as possible and return your credits in full, or arrange an alternative time that works for you.

Sessions & Levels

I’m a complete beginner – is this for me?

Absolutely. Swim Monkeys is open to everyone, at every starting point. Level 1 was built precisely for those who want to start building confidence in the water and learn the basics.

How do I know which level suits me?

Each level is defined by what you can already do – distances, strokes, and your sense of confidence in the water. Read the level descriptions and choose the one that best describes you. If you’re unsure – get in touch and we’ll help you choose.

Can I move between levels?

Yes. Your progress is the most natural thing, and when you feel ready – you move up to the next level. The coach can recommend the transition.

What’s the difference between an individual and a group session?

In an individual session you get the coach’s full attention, with a programme tailored precisely to you. In a group session you train in a small group, with a great atmosphere, a shared rhythm, and plenty of fun.

How long does a session last?

An individual session lasts 45 minutes. A group session runs according to the group’s framework.

I swim a different stroke and want to learn freestyle – is that possible?

Yes. Freestyle (Front Crawl) is one of our main focuses, especially at Level 1, where we teach it from the ground up.

Equipment & What to Bring

What should I bring to my first session?

Swimsuit, towel, goggles, and a swim cap. The rest of the equipment we’ll choose together with you after your first session, based on your needs.

Can I buy equipment through Swim Monkeys?

Yes, we recommend suitable equipment and can assist with the purchase. All gear is carefully selected by our professional team.

Is a safety buoy mandatory?

For pool sessions, a buoy isn’t required. For open water events – yes, and you’ll find it available for purchase there too.

Is there a place to leave my belongings?

Yes, each of our pools has a designated area for personal belongings.

Team & Languages

Which languages does the team speak?

Our entire team speaks Czech and English, so every swimmer feels at home from the very first word.

Who leads the professional team?

Who else is on the team?

Coaches, assistant coaches, management, and back office – all carefully selected to give you the best possible experience, from the moment you book a session to the moment you leave the water.

Can I request a specific coach?
