Terms and conditions
Version 2026-09Effective 9 September 2026
These terms govern your use of Swim Monkeys — the account you open, the credits you buy and the sessions you book with them. You are asked to agree to them when you create an account, and again when you buy.
Who this is with
Swim Monkeys is a swimming academy run by V Aquatics Swimming Academy, z.s., IČO 11718153, DIČ CZ11718153, with its registered office at Vaníčkova 100/6, Břevnov, 169 00 Praha 6, recorded in the associations register kept by the Municipal Court in Prague under file number L 75195. Swim Monkeys is the name that academy trades under, not a separate company.
Everything you buy or book on this site, you buy or book from that association. You can reach it at office@vaquatics.cz or on +420 730 555 539, in Czech or in English.
These terms are a contract between you and us under Czech law. If you are buying as a consumer — outside a trade or business of your own — the protections in Act No. 89/2012 Coll., the Civil Code, and Act No. 634/1992 Coll., on consumer protection, apply to you on top of everything written here, and nothing here takes them away.
Your account
You need an account to book. Opening one is free and commits you to nothing — it is the credits that cost money.
The details on it have to be accurate and stay that way, the email address above all: booking confirmations, payment receipts and any notice about a cancelled session go there.
One account belongs to one swimmer. Do not share your sign-in, and tell us at once if you think someone else has it.
If the swimmer is under 18, a parent or legal guardian opens the account, agrees to these terms on the swimmer’s behalf and is responsible for what is paid on it.
You can ask us to close your account at any time by writing to office@vaquatics.cz. Closing it does not by itself refund anything; the refunds we make are set out in the complaints and refunds document.
Credits and prices
You do not pay per lesson at the door. You buy a pack of credits, and booking a session spends credits from your balance. What a session costs is shown on the session before you book it.
Prices are in Czech crowns and include 21 % VAT. The price on the purchase screen is the price you pay: no booking fee, and no surcharge for paying by card.
The pack prices, the bonus on larger packs, what a team or an individual session costs and how long credits last are shown on the pricing page and on the purchase screen. They are whatever the academy has set at that moment, and changing them does not change credits you have already bought.
Credits expire when their validity runs out, counted from the day you buy them. Buying another pack brings back credits that expired earlier, along with the new ones.
Credits are not money. They cannot be transferred to another swimmer, cannot be exchanged for cash, and have no value outside this academy.
Paying, and when the credits arrive
Payments run through the payment gateway of Comgate a.s., IČO 27924505, Gočárova třída 1754/48b, Pražské Předměstí, 500 02 Hradec Králové. The card details are entered on the gateway’s own secure page — we never see or store your full card number.
You can pay by payment card and by whatever other method the gateway offers you at that moment. The currency is Czech crowns only.
This is a digital service delivered at once: the credits appear on your balance as soon as the gateway confirms the payment, normally within seconds, and you can book with them straight away. A confirmation goes to the email address on your account.
If the payment fails or is declined, nothing is charged and no credits are added. If money left your account and no credits arrived, write to office@vaquatics.cz with the date and the amount and we will trace it with the gateway.
A tax document for the purchase is issued to the details on your account and sent to that email address.
Booking a session
You book from your account, and the booking is made the moment you confirm it: the credits leave your balance then, and the place is yours.
Sessions have a fixed capacity, and a full session cannot be booked. Where a waiting list is offered, a place that opens up is offered on in the order the list runs.
You need the credits on your balance to book.
We may have to cancel a session: a pool closure, a coach falling ill, a fault in the building. If we do, the credits go back to your balance in full, we offer a replacement date where we can, and we tell you at the address on your account as soon as we know.
Cancelling a booking
You cancel from your account. Cancelling in time costs nothing, and there is no limit on how often you do it.
Cancel before the cutoff for that kind of session — the cutoffs are on the pricing page and on the booking itself, and an individual session has a longer one than a team session — and the credits return to your balance immediately.
Cancel after the cutoff, or simply not arrive, and the credits stay spent: the lane, the coach and the place were held for you. If another swimmer takes the place before the session starts, the credits come back.
Arriving late, leaving early or missing part of a session does not entitle you to a refund or to a replacement of it.
Booking for another swimmer
Two adult swimmers, each with their own account, can link those accounts so that one of them books and pays for sessions for the other. A link begins with an invitation and exists only once the invited swimmer has accepted it from their own account.
The swimmer who pays is our contracting party for the credits they bought. A booking made for the other swimmer is spent from the payer’s balance, credits returned when it is cancelled go back to the payer, and the right to withdraw from a purchase stays with the payer. Credits never move from one account to another.
The swimmer who attends stays responsible for their own account, their own declarations and their conduct at the pool. Either of the two can cancel a booking made this way, under the same cancellation rules as any other booking.
Either swimmer can end the link at any time from their account. Ending it stops further bookings; bookings already made stay as they are.
At the pool
You are responsible for being fit enough for the training you signed up to. Tell your coach about any injury, health condition or medication that affects what you can do in the water, and tell them as soon as it changes.
Do not come to a session with an illness that stops you training properly, or that could be passed on to other swimmers or to the coaches.
The rules of the pool you are swimming in apply to you while you are in the building, along with ordinary standards of hygiene and of behaviour towards the people in it.
Come in time to be at the poolside changed and with your equipment before the session starts — as a rule about fifteen minutes ahead, ready to warm up on your own.
We may end a swimmer’s participation, without a refund, for seriously breaking these rules: damaging the property of the academy or of the pool, or behaving abusively towards other swimmers, coaches or staff.
Liability
The coach is responsible for you while the session is running and at the place it is held. Everywhere else in the building — the changing rooms, the showers, the entrance, the corridors — you are responsible for yourself, and the pool operator’s own rules apply.
We are not liable for belongings left unattended. Use the lockers the pool provides.
We are not liable for harm arising from a health condition you did not tell us about, or from ignoring a coach’s instruction.
Every swimmer is responsible for their own accident and health insurance. We do not insure you.
Nothing in this section limits our liability for harm caused deliberately or by gross negligence, or for harm to a person’s natural rights — Czech law does not allow those to be limited in advance, and we do not try to.
Changes to these terms
We may change these terms, because the law changes and the way the academy runs changes. The version and the date it took effect are at the top of this page.
If a change materially affects you, we will tell you at the address on your account before it takes effect, and you will be asked to agree to the new version the next time you sign in or buy credits.
The version you agreed to is the one that governs credits you have already bought and sessions you have already booked.
If you do not want to accept a new version, you can stop using the service and ask us to close your account. The refunds we make are set out in the complaints and refunds document.
